Honourable mention Design Contest

SLAK / Volkshuisvesting, Arnhem NL

The idea is to live and work in a house that responds to the seasons. The programatic use of Atelier voor Twee is doubled in springtime, summer and fall. In wintertime the activities shrink to those of a sleeping hedgehog and so does the size of the climatized space. The design makes use of the highly developed techniques of the greenhouse horticulture and introduces it for human dwelling.

The jury honored the design for the convincing expression of the idea, the classic beauty of the design and the 'less is more' presentation.
